Welcome To Bad Bean Taqueria

Located in Corolla, within North Carolina's Outer Banks (Map), Bad Bean Taqueria is surrounded by surf and sand. Personally, I like my burritos served in the closest shoreline proximity possible, so Bad Bean has got the West coast setting without the lofty expectations of West coast Mexican food.

Fresh from the beach, Anthony, Emily, Abby and I wandered into Bad Bean after a needlessly long, wandering ride to find the place. Thanks Anthony.

I’m no burrito connoisseur, but I do understand how short the window of opportunity can be for a place to impress their customer. Even how satisfaction is on individual basis. However, it sounds like the earlier bad experience is an anomaly. A reflection of a bad day or even hour.

I usually eat at this place at least once a week in the Spring – Fall and I love it. It’s consistently fantastic. Extremely tasty and food portions very plentiful.

It’s been closed for the winter and I can’t wait until it opens again. Best burrito on the Outer Banks hands down.
