Snack Dragon Out Of The Shack

This report may not be quite so timely, but my last visit to the beloved East Village revealed that Snack Dragon has moved off the sidewalk shack and onto 199 East 3rd Street (Map). Their menu expanded slightly, but I didn't have time to stop for a snack (ha! get it?) and sample the goods.

A Plate Full Of Color

Cora doesn't eat things with legs. She likes veggies. She likes TaQueria La Mexicana. I'm running out of things to say.

That happens when you've got over 500 posts on the same thing on your blog. But still I try. Hey, those refried beans look good.

Out With The Irish, In With La Mexicana

TaQueria La Mexicana in Somerville's Union Square is moving Eastward, knocking down the wall and absorbing the defunct Irish Eyes Pub.

Rumor has it that this will bring table service and a change in menu offering for La Mexicana. Personally, I fear change. What on earth will I do if they get rid of my beloved enchilada rellenos combo? Probably cry.

Silver lining: they are getting a liquor license, and are open during renovations (at least last night they were).

Essential Summer Ingredients

Recall what dreams are made of. Essential ingredients are Mexican food and the summer sun.

Pictured here is a carnitas plate with jalapeños and extra rice from Anna's MIT.

I'm really going to miss summer. Good thing I'm headed back to California soon.

Plate weight: 22.6 oz | Price: $4.65 | FDR: 4.86

This Anna's Taqueria meal was rated: 7.7.

Mr. Fink, Miss Perry Visit Cambridge

Burrito Blog has some catching up to do. Mr. Fink and Miss Perry did visit me Atlantic Northeast many weeks back. Speculation that the delay is caused by lukewarm feelings of friendship towards these two is without merit. I've been busy.

Recall that Mr. Fink was responsible for introducing me to the Big Enchilada in Manhattan. Now it was my turn to host.

We went to Anna's at MIT for their Massachusetts Mexican food initiation. Will they return? Let's hope so!

His breakfast burrito weighed in at 12.3 ounces, Miss Perry's at 12.5 ounces.
