Beans OK, Burrito Was The Problem

When we first walked into Bad Bean, we were starving. Deliberations about lunch plans and getting lost on the way had all of our stomachs singing in rounds.

Usually, hunger only aides the liklihood that I enjoy a meal. This was an exception for three primary reasons unrelated to the flavor of my chicken burrito. Reverse order:

Three: The burrito was expensive. A burrito on a 12" tortilla (standard size for a large burrito) runs between $7.95 and $8.95. This includes sour cream, but not guacamole. I get it, tourist prices. Fine.

Two: The burrito was pitifully small, dwarfed by the size of the standard issue red basket. Pennies are used for scale.

One: Bad Bean was ready with the beans when we walked in the door, but was out of rice. Are you kidding me? No rice? Sure, we'll just wait 15 minutes until you cook up another batch.

Then, there was the food: average. Overall, the experience was quite a disappointment.

This Bad Bean Taqueria meal was rated: 2.7.
